The work of ARY KP:

a mixture of spirit that is both creative

and Cartesian, marked by rigor

and lightness, the oversized pixel

and sublimated.

 zoom on volumes

“From the unique in the many:

each table is prepared,

assembled and resinated by hand

what makes each one unique

copies of the same series.

 in regards to

ARY KP was born on July 25, 1970. Parisian, she lives and works in Fréjus (France).

In the 90s, ARY KP was part of a group of graffiti artists recognized in Paris.

His interest in this form of urban free expression has never left him.

This is why, over the years and during its travels, ARY KP has been established

a vast photo library of tags and graffiti, helped for some time

by photographers and international friends who share his passion.

Driven by the desire to share its ever-growing collection and bring it back to life

to these ephemeral works, the idea of ARY KP is remarkable: to do with the visuals collected

a universal alphabet and create from them its own iconography, as would have done

a 20th century painter by uniting touches of Bonnard, Cézanne, Monet, Van Gogh ...

A tribute to urban art, therefore, to photography, to the image, to pictoriality.

Its multi-origin iconography, with impactful chromaticism, is declined in mosaic

with various reliefs and essentially represents idealized selfies.

From the start, these portraits are offered to us in all their voluptuousness like an irresistible treat. Then, the nuances illuminate a form of gravity, each square takes on meaning,

looks question and emotion wins ...

But don't stop there! Come closer ... even closer ...

And discover the multitude of hidden messages, found here and there on a street corner

or at the end of a parking lot. These scattered texts offer us a second reading

of the work: the paintings then take the form of an “open-hearted book”.

A very urban universe therefore but also very human, in which everyone

can recognize itself and which, in any case, leaves no one indifferent.
